Marianne Richards

Recently retiring after 38 years in the public service as a town planner in Victoria and South Australia, Marianne has extensive knowledge and experience in port, airport and freight network planning and development issues. In the late 1990s, Marianne was part of the Victorian Government team that negotiated the basis for airport master planning processes for federally privatised airports and later other Victorian airports. Marianne’s interests include application of transport land use planning policy and development frameworks, processes and initiatives to economic, social and environmental issues; and implementing practical outcomes in land use planning policy frameworks for the long term sustainability of airports, ports and freight networks. She has a Bachelor of Arts (Monash University), a Graduate Diploma of Town Planning (South Australian Institute of Technology) and a Graduate Certificate of Business Administration (Mt Eliza Business School).
